We(l)ding Anniversary - 17th

I never had in my wildest dreams what it would be to spend 17 years together bonded with a "stranger" when i got married but I did. It was one of highs and lows, cheer and tear , pride and prejudice but we did it and might traverse a lot more together! My happy place is in your heart! We both were round in shape for marriage and have come a long way in the fitness journey. What probably started with a little extra care post Jaundice in 2010 has followed us till date. Regular excercise and eating home made food became our mantra. In this journey, we have both inspired each other. Sree's ability to set targets and work hard to achieve it amazes me though he doesnt set them often !

Happy 17th anniversary to us and wishing many more :) As far as my memory goes, we haven't been away for any of our anniversaries until now, including the  very adventurous first one where i could fly in time to London to cut the cake ! So let this be a change.

We are like the poles of a magnet  - totally opposite yet attracted to each other. Our houses are only about 10km from each other but we are miles apart mentally and emotionally. We were not made for each other for sure but welded over the years complementing and supplementing each other ! I cannot think of a life without my best half and pray that even death doesn't separate us. We are the proud parents of 2 teenagers who are independent decision makers. Even while questioning everything told to them and many a time disobedient, they possess some very strong values. Pray it remains so and they imbibe the best of both worlds.

While my childhood and adulthood was spent in an urban area , Sree's upbringing was very different. He grew up in the countryside amongst cats and cows , eating tapioca, root veggies etc from the yard.

His education was in govt school with middle and lower class kids but mine was in CBSE school with a different mix of children ,

He is far sighted , but i don't get it even when things are upon me ,

I am a box checker /planner and cannot take changes as they come, but he is totally the opposite ,

He wanted kids to grow up free and without boundaries whereas I insisted on discipline and rules

He encouraged Cheeku to climb trees , rocks at a time when girls her age would play with dolls.. Appu was always a daddy admirer..I cannot remember times when he said No to anything they did while my answers were mostly No mostly due to over protection.

He doesn't mind even if the house is tipsy turvy or there is laundry piled up or bed is not made , but i get irritated to the core and cannot stand these things

He is a die hard movie fan and i yawn even before a movie starts

He has a sharp sense of smell and taste, something i am totally unwary about

He loves spicy food, biting green chillies while i literally run away at the sight of it

His journey might go on without me but mine wouldn't without him !
