2023 Round Up
An year of 3T's - Travel , Temples and Theater - a roundup of 2023 !
5 trips to hometown in Kerala, some of them extending South making them more explorative. Touched Kollam for a wedding, Trivandrum to spend time with a close college friend , Varkkala to experience the beautiful white sand beaches.
Made a cameo appearance at Hyderabad for a close friend's son's upanayanam. Some well time spent unwinding and dancing !
2023 was also an year of office going, team lunches and carnivals, the biggest one hosted at Leela Palace. While travelling in Bangalore traffic needs several days of pre planning, it felt nice to meet people , especially after about 2 years of Working From Home. Also hit a significant milestone of 2 working decades this year. Never thought i would come this far !
A girls trip to Vietnam-Cambodia was a feather in the crown (Hanoi-Siem Reap). I hopped on a 'meticulously' planned trip to these asian countries. While the travelogue is still pending, thanks to the powerful S23 for some great picture memories ! What more to ask for ! First cruise of life happened on this trip on Ha Long Bay ! Breathtaking views and is a must do!
A short travel to Pondicherry was the only trip this year with the teens. The grandeur of Thiruvannamalai and Chidambaram temples, Pichavaram mangrove trail, stay at the quaint and aesthetic French villa in White town and the evening stroll on beach added beauty to this trip. Not to mention the food delicacies. For Bangloreans, Pondy is the go to place for a quick unwinding, especially if you love food and strolls!
And how can i forget my first semi classical dance performance on stage! This year i embarked on learning this traditional artform 'Mohiniyattom' which needs patience , resilience and sharp memory apart from the other scientific aspects of nritya and abhinaya. Keeping self doubts aside, hoping to continue learning with His grace Lord Nataraja.
Stamped the sands at Sree Poornathrayeesha Temple festival with my footprints ,witnessing the 15 elephant shiveli and some great kacheris , a 'mojito pe charcha' with school friends and made it in time for a Xmas eve late night stroll on Brigade Road, Bangalore(my first experience)
Watched many movies in Theater, one of the main reasons being the Cinema Hall that opened close to home( at walkable distance )! No hassle of parking which indeed is a great relief!
Hospital visits, sicknesses etc made their appearances but since it brings no joy in keeping a count, washing them off.
I can already see a roller coaster 2024 , Hope the final landing will be smooth.
